Classic Car Rallye 2026

When engines roar and tyres hug the roads, it's time again for the ICB Classic Car Rallye! Join us again this year for an exciting drive through the Berlin area. As always, the destination will remain a well-kept secret!

The following services are included in the entry fee:

• Participation in the rallye
• Specially prepared road book & quiz
• Welcome breakfast in the morning with fresh coffee and tea at the International Club Berlin
• Snack bag for the road
• Lunch at the finish line, including a soft drink
• Award ceremony with 1 glass of sparkling wine and canapés at the International Club Berlin

As always, the names of the winners will be immortalised on our trophy.

Führung Museum Barberini Paul Signac

To achieve the highest degree of luminosity and harmony—that was the goal to which Paul Signac dedicated himself when, in the mid-1880s, he and Georges Seurat introduced a new painting technique to the art world. The exhibition Symphony of Colors. Paul Signac and Neo-Impressionism is the first comprehensive Signac exhibition in Germany in 30 years. It explores the artist’s central role within the Neo-Impressionist movement and examines his influence as a theorist, networker, and exhibition organizer.

Cognitive Resiliance

The experiences of the Baltic states and Ukraine demonstrate how important it has become to engage with information thoughtfully and critically. Germany, too, is increasingly affected by targeted influence operations in the digital sphere—further intensified by new technologies such as artificial intelligence, which make disinformation faster to produce and more difficult to detect.

The focus is on fundamental aspects such as attention, trust, and decision-making. This makes it all the more important for civil society to develop the ability to critically question and contextualize information.

The event addresses these challenges directly: it raises awareness of disinformation and promotes dialogue on how we can strengthen our cognitive resilience as a society.

ICB-Tennis Weekend 2026 Singles

On Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Women's and Men's Singles Championships will be held simultaneously.

To determine the champions on the same day, players will be divided into groups depending on the number of entries. Each group will compete in a round-robin format, with every player facing all other players in their group.

Matches will be played in a shortened format:

• One set to 4 games (instead of 6)
• No-Ad scoring
• A player must win by 2 games
• At 4–4, a first-to-7 tiebreak will decide the set

At the end of the group stage, the top players from each group will compete in the Championship Final, while the remaining qualifiers will play for third place.

ICB-Tennis Tennis Weekend Double

 Doubles

On Sunday, 20 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Mixed, Ladies' Doubles, and Men's Doubles competitions will take place as the highlight of our club community events.

We are looking forward to welcoming as many participants as possible – even if you do not have a fixed doubles partner, as pairings, especially for the Mixed competition, will be drawn by lot.

The competition will be played in a round-robin format, similar to the singles events, although the format may be adjusted depending on the number of participants.

Throughout the event, players can enjoy a small buffet and refreshments, helping everyone recharge during breaks between matches. To cover the buffet, a participation fee of €20 per person will be collected on site.

The issue of care is a concern for many people and is a key political issue in our country.

We are therefore delighted to welcome the Federal Government Commissioner for Care, Katrin Staffler MdB (CSU), to our club for a discussion on 23rd September 2026 at 7 p.m. and would ask you to make a note of this date in your diary today.

Many people eagerly look forward to their vacation—the time away from work. Once it begins, expectations are often high. A vacation is supposed to deliver relaxation, adventure, and positive emotions.

Sometimes it does: a fantastic time and wonderful memories. But because we often project such high expectations onto our vacations, they can also lead to disappointment and turn into an expensive ordeal. In the worst case, the dream destination can even become a horror trip.

Are vacations—as in several weeks of completely free time—still relevant today? In a world where you can be online almost anywhere, make video calls from Mallorca, and send emails from a cruise ship. And then there’s the hustle and bustle, the climate crisis, and the costs. What’s the point?

In groups of three, there will be an opportunity to exchange thoughts on this topic through sharing and listening.

As always, the Circle will begin with a short meditation and a check-in round.

Our club member Thomas Clark will lead the Circle and looks forward to welcoming participants who would like to get to know other members better. Through mindfulness and good time management, the aim is to make sure everyone has an opportunity to speak without the session becoming too long.

The Circle itself lasts 90 minutes, followed by a relaxed social gathering.

Who Are We? Germany in Search of Its Identity

Former Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer will join us at the Club to present his new book. The evening will be moderated by journalist Martin S. Lambeck.

Should Germany increase its defense budget? Should compulsory military service be reintroduced? Is a European nuclear deterrent necessary? This event offers an in-depth analysis of German politics in an era of profound global upheaval.

A quarter of the way into the 21st century, it has become unmistakably clear that the world is undergoing far-reaching geopolitical, technological, and economic transformations: intensifying rivalry between the major powers, the revolution in artificial intelligence, and the rise of the Global South.

What does this mean for Germany today—for a country at the heart of Europe, still the world’s third-largest industrial economy, but shaped by its fractured history into a post-national state and, militarily, almost invisible?

Fit Kids Like To Move-Olympics

After last year's first successful Children's Olympics, we are inviting all children aged 6-12 to an exciting afternoon of fun, games and sporting challenges. We are particularly pleased that our esteemed club member Uta Pippig, two-time Olympian and multiple winner of the Boston and Berlin Marathons, will be helping to organise this special day. She will guide the children through the various stations and ensure an unforgettable experience

The children can put their skills and stamina to the test at 12 different stations. The disciplines include sack races, goal wall shooting, skipping rope and many other exciting games!

Programme:

14:00 - 14:30: Arrival of the families at our tennis courts

14:30 - 14:45: Warm up with Uta Pippig

14:45 - 16:45: Olympics

17:00: Award ceremony

At the end of the day, every child will go home with a medal and lots of great memories. Drinks and snacks will be provided for the children.
