Meet the Press - Germany and the self-assertion of Europe
Dietrich von Kyaw was an ambassador and Permanent Representative of Germany to the EU in Brussels. He served as a diplomat in Africa, at the United Nations in New York, and as an Economic Counselor at the German Embassy in Washington. After his retirement, he remained active primarily as a member of the supervisory board of ADF-Gaevert NV in Mortsel/Antwerp and as an advisor to the Lithuanian government on EU accession matters.
This man has seen the world and helped shape European history, as none other than Jean Claude Juncker has said. And the best part is that he is also a member of the International Club.
His new book is titled "Germany and the Assertion of Europe." Club member and journalist Thomas Kausch will discuss the new challenges facing the democratic West in times of political, economic, and societal change with Dietrich von Kyaw in his popular ICB series "Meet the Press." These challenges concern all of us.
"Meet the Press," Sunday, November 5, 2023, as always at 12 noon.
