Coaching: Leading people in a motivating way – bosses and parents taking responsibility

People are willing to follow when leadership takes their wishes and needs into account appropriately. In fact, it is usually more a matter of not demotivating them. If bosses or parents as leaders can “read” and take seriously the individual personalities of the people entrusted to them, conflicts can usually be avoided.

In an interactive discussion, coach Wolf-Dietrich Groß provides insights into how motivation can be created and maintained – and what this has to do with self-motivation. After all, those who are not motivated also lack the strength to lead.

Coaching: Remain objective – control your emotions

Disagreements and arguments often end in conflict. This usually leads to insults, name-calling and mutual hurt, which makes it difficult or impossible to resolve the differences objectively. Emotional outbursts prevent us from understanding each other.

Feelings need to be regulated and controlled just as much as our thoughts. After all, we cannot say everything we think or let out everything we feel. Coach Wolf-Dietrich Groß explains how this can be done successfully in an interactive discussion.

Exhibition - Lovis Corinth

To mark the 100th anniversary of Lovis Corinth's death, the Alte Nationalgalerie is staging a focused exhibition highlighting the fate of the works by the artist and his wife, the painter Charlotte Berend-Corinth, in the Nationalgalerie's collection. Alongside Max Liebermann and Max Slevogt, Corinth (1858–1925) is considered one of the most important representatives of German Impressionism. With over twenty oil paintings, some of them large-format, the National Gallery has an extensive and significant collection of works by the painter.

The exhibition focuses on the different provenances of the paintings: the National Gallery's holdings are supplemented by reproductions of paintings that ended up in other museums as a result of the National Socialist campaign against ‘degenerate art’.

Date 29. October 2025
Time 4:30 p.m.
Duration 1 hour
Language German
Price 25 EUR incl. entrance fee
Meeting point Entrance Alte Nationalgalerie
How to get there Individually

The exhibition is open until 6.00 p.m. on this day, so that the exhibition can be viewed individually for a short time afterwards.
If you have a museum card that allows free admission to the museums, please let us know directly when registering.

Information Evening ICB Circle

Mindfulness, dialogue, openness, meditation—these are the pillars of a new event series: the ICB Circle. Our club member Thomas Clark wondered whether there were enough other members who wanted to engage in deeper exchange and connection with each other—once a month. A risk? Of course! And club member Gilla Berquet encouraged him to give it a try. What is this circle all about? You can find out at the interactive information evening. Afterwards, you can decide whether you want to join the monthly circle. Go for it!

Coaching: Closeness instead of distance – overcoming relationship crises

Relationships prove to be a constant balancing act. Once the initial charm has worn off, everyday reality sets in. Relationships often turn out to be covert power struggles when it comes to being right or not being to blame. After all, it is always the other person who is “to blame”. At their core, relationships are usually about the unrecognised and unfulfilled needs of the people involved.

In an interactive discussion, coach Wolf-Dietrich Groß shows how relationships at work or at home can be constructively shaped and maintained.
